About This Role
Bombardier is seeking a Flight Operations Manager to oversee flight operations for Global 5500/6500 and Global 7500/8000 aircraft at their Mississauga, Ontario headquarters. The company designs and manufactures world-class aircraft for discerning business and government clients. Candidates require a minimum 5,000 total flight hours with 1,000 PIC hours on large multi-engine aircraft, plus a valid Canadian ATPL and Class 1 Medical. Duties & Responsibilities
  • Oversee flight operations conducted with qualified crews in accordance with regulatory requirements
  • Ensure all flight crews meet required standards for assigned tasks
  • Maintain pilot training records electronically and ensure accessibility on site
  • Monitor pilots for BCOM PCC requirements and standards compliance
  • Assign operational and training duties to pilots
  • Ensure all flight operations are conducted in a safe, legal and expeditious manner
  • Assist in development and maintenance of flight operations manuals and documentation
  • Document and report all flight safety reports, occurrences and infractions in accordance with Flight Operations SMS
  • Assign site pilot as Site Safety Pilot and provide support for their duties
  • Forward requests for aircraft additions to TC POR to Director of Flight Operations
  • Execute duties of aircraft commander while maintaining positive crew and management relationships

Requirements
  • Valid Canadian ATPL license
  • Valid Class 1 Medical Certificate
  • Minimum 5,000 hours total flight time
  • Minimum 1,000 hours PIC on large multi-engine aircraft
  • Minimum 2 years flight test experience
  • Previous management experience
  • University degree
  • Sound knowledge of Canadian Aviation regulations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work without supervision
  • Ability to execute duties of aircraft commander
  • Experience managing stressful situations
  • Working knowledge of MS Office
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours and travel on short notice
  • US ATP is an asset
  • Significant international experience is an asset
  • Strong technical background in certification or training is an asset
