About This Role
PRIVAJET is seeking an experienced, safety-driven Learjet 45 Captain for its full-time flight operations team in Europe. The Captain will serve as Pilot-in-Command under EASA or applicable authority regulations and the company’s AOC, with full responsibility for the safe, legal, efficient, and professional conduct of assigned flights. The role combines technical leadership, crew mentoring, regulatory compliance, risk management, and a strong focus on hospitality and exceptional passenger service.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate as Pilot-in-Command of Learjet 45 flights under EASA or applicable authority regulations and PRIVAJET’s AOC.
- Assume full operational responsibility and authority for each assigned flight, ensuring that it is conducted safely, legally, and efficiently.
- Lead the flight crew through all phases of operation, including pre-flight planning, flight execution, and post-flight review.
- Follow company SOPs, regulatory standards, flight and duty-time limitations, and risk-management practices.
- Conduct thorough crew briefings, complete performance planning, and coordinate effectively with Dispatch, Ground Handling, and Maintenance.
- Maintain current knowledge of aircraft systems and procedures, NOTAMs, meteorology, and destination-specific operational information.
- Mentor and support First Officers and contribute to training, safety-improvement, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
- Represent PRIVAJET professionally in dealings with clients, authorities, and other third parties while maintaining the company’s standards of airmanship, professionalism, CRM, hospitality, and customer service.
Requirements
- Applicants must hold an EASA ATPL(A), a valid Learjet 45 type rating, a valid OPC/LPC, and a Flight Radio-Telephony Operator’s Licence covering VHF and HF. The minimum experience requirement is 3,000 total flight hours, including at least 1,500 hours as Pilot-in-Command on multi-pilot, multi-engine turboprop or turbojet aircraft. - higher education is preferred. Fluent English is required, with a minimum Level 4 qualification, while additional languages are an advantage. The posting also requires a demonstrated commitment to safety and customer satisfaction under pressure, flexibility to travel and work irregular hours, and a valid passport and/or work permit allowing residency and employment in Europe. Previous business aviation experience is highly desirable. Additional type ratings, TRI/TRE instructor qualifications, and EASA post-holder training are assets or advantageous.
