Metrea seeks experienced King Air Lead Captains for ISR operations in El Paso, Texas. This role combines PIC responsibilities on multi-sensor ISR missions with leadership and mentorship of flight operations on a 60-65 day deployment rotation. Requires minimum 2,000 PIC hours, BE-300 type rating, and 6+ years of aviation operations experience including crew oversight.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or 6+ years equivalent aviation experience
  • FAA Commercial Airplane Multi-Engine Land Pilot Certificate with Instrument Rating or ATP Certificate
  • FAA First-Class or Second-Class Medical Certificate
  • FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit
  • Type Rated in BE-300
  • Minimum 2,000 hours Pilot in Command (PIC) time
  • Minimum 750 hours multi-engine time
  • Minimum 6+ years civil or military aviation operations experience
  • At least 2+ years in a position responsible for oversight of aircrew
  • Mastery of CONUS and OCONUS ISR Flight Operations
  • Understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR), 14 CFR Parts 61, 91, 119, and 135
  • Knowledge of Aviation Management Systems and Safety Management Systems (SMS)
  • Proficiency in aviation weather analysis and flight planning tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Teams
  • Ability to build and lead a cohesive pilot team
  • Critical thinking, problem solving, conflict management, and time management skills
  • Must meet all FAA records and background requirements
  • Acceptable review of FAA Pilot Records Database (PRD)
  • Serve as Pilot in Command for King Air ISR flight operations
  • Lead assigned flight and mission crews in multi-sensor ISR missions
  • Plan, brief, execute, and debrief missions per SOPs and regulations
  • Provide in-flight leadership, instruction, and mentorship to other pilots
  • Ensure effective crew coordination and disciplined execution
  • Oversee aircraft preflight and mission configuration
  • Maintain flight currency and medical qualification
  • Exercise sound judgment in dynamic operational environments
  • Coordinate day-to-day pilot operations and scheduling
  • Mentor and develop site-assigned pilots
  • Promote and implement Safety Management System (SMS)
  • Serve as on-site pilot Subject Matter Expert during audits and inspections
