About This Role
Raytheon Australia is seeking an experienced ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance) pilot to operate a highly modified Learjet 35A special mission aircraft in support of the Australian Defence Force. Based in Nowra, New South Wales, this role involves delivering advanced airborne Electronic Warfare training, test, and certification to military and industry units. Candidates must have a minimum of 500 hours PIC, 6+ years military aviation experience, and a valid CASA Commercial Pilot License with multiple endorsements including low level and formation flying ratings. Duties & Responsibilities
  • Operate Learjet 35A special mission aircraft as part of flight crew
  • Deliver advanced airborne Electronic Warfare training, test, and certification
  • Assist Head of Operations in maintaining safe and effective working environment
  • Act as Deployment Commander on rotation basis with other aircrew
  • Contribute to tactical operating procedures and standards for EW flight operations
  • Conduct deployments in support of domestic and international exercises
  • Support Air, Land, Maritime and industry task units in Defence Force missions

Requirements
  • CASA Part 61 Commercial Pilot License (Aeroplane)
  • Valid CASA Class 1 Medical Certificate
  • Eligible to obtain Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
  • CASA Multi Crew Cooperation (MCC) training
  • Low Level Rating (Aeroplane)
  • Formation Flying Flight Activity Endorsement (Aeroplane)
  • Instrument Rating (Multi Engine Aircraft with 2D and 3D Instrument Approach Procedures)
  • Minimum 500 hours Pilot In Command (PIC)
  • Minimum 6 years flying experience as a pilot in military aviation operations
  • Military pilot fast jet experience or civilian equivalent supporting Defence operations
  • Eligible for or currently hold AGSVA Negative Vetting 1 Security Clearance
  • Ability to acquire Negative Vetting 2 Security Clearance
  • Flight Instructor, Flight Examiner, or check/training experience desirable
