Cirrus Aircraft seeks an experienced Flight Instructor Pilot for their premier training center in Knoxville, TN, to provide world-class flight training on the SF-50 Vision Jet and SR Series aircraft. Candidates must hold a current FAA Flight Instructor Certificate, Commercial Pilot License, and SF-50 Type Rating (preferred), with a minimum of 750 hours of Cirrus instruction time or 1,000 total instruction hours. Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide flight and ground instruction following Cirrus training standards and syllabus
  • Conduct structured, learner-centric training on SF-50 Vision Jet and SR Series aircraft
  • Assess pilot performance in psychomotor, cognitive, and affective domains
  • Recommend students for FAA written and practical tests
  • Act as pilot in command on demonstration, repositioning, post-maintenance, and ferry flights
  • Conduct flight reviews and proficiency checks
  • Maintain meticulous records of all training activities in pilot training records
  • Customize training events to fit individual student needs
  • Perform pre-flight and post-flight aircraft inspections and maintenance
  • Maintain continuous learning of Cirrus aircraft product line developments
  • Ensure compliance with 14 CFR Part 91 and all safety procedures
  • Communicate with students pre- and post-training

Requirements
  • Current FAA Flight Instructor Certificate (Airplane Single Engine Instrument)
  • FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate (Airplane Single Engine Land Instrument)
  • Current Second-class Airman Medical Certificate or higher
  • Minimum 750 hours of Cirrus instruction or 1,000 total instruction hours
  • SF-50 Type Rating preferred
  • ATP Certificate preferred
  • IFR experience in congested airspace, mountain flying, extensive IMC, international flight, and night flying preferred
