About This Role
AEVEX Aerospace is seeking an experienced Instructor Pilot 4 to lead flight training and instruction for air vehicle operators (AVOs) at their Tampa, Florida location. AEVEX is a government contractor providing full-spectrum aviation, remote sensing, and analysis solutions for U.S. national security and partner nations. This role requires extensive military aviation experience, preferably as a certified flight instructor or military instructor pilot, with 4+ years of prior experience and 2+ years of lead management experience on DoS/DoD contracts. Requirements
- Current or previous qualification on specific aircraft type(s) being instructed
- High School diploma or GED minimum (4+ years experience with Master's Degree preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in aviation, aerospace engineering, or related field
- Current FAA or military pilot certifications including commercial pilot license and instrument rating
- FAA Class II medical certificate
- 10+ years experience (with High School/GED), 6+ years (with Bachelor's), or 4+ years (with Master's Degree)
- 2+ years demonstrated lead management experience on DoS/DoD contracts at company level
- Extensive flight experience as military pilot with advanced aircraft systems
- Previous experience as CFI, instructor pilot, or military flight instructor (highly desirable)
- Experience with U.S. Department of State, Defense, or other Government contracting agencies
- Demonstrated customer briefing experience (internal and external)
- Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret/SCI DoD clearance
- U.S. Citizenship required
