Republic Airways is hiring an Inflight Instructor to facilitate approved flight attendant training programs at their Carmel, IN base. This role requires at least 1 year of aviation and/or education/training experience, strong instructional abilities, and the ability to travel up to 25% of the time. The position involves curriculum development, trainee evaluation, and coordination with FAA/TSA audits.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 year of aviation and/or education or training experience
- Basic computer knowledge in Microsoft Office applications
- No visible tattoos while in uniform
- No multiple visible piercings while in uniform
- Ability to pass FAA 10-year work history review
- Ability to pass criminal background and fingerprint checks
- Valid US passport or foreign passport
- Authorized by law to work in the United States
- Able to travel in and out of the United States
- Willing to submit to and pass FAA and Company mandated random drug and alcohol tests
- Able to reach and operate all emergency equipment and exits with force up to 70 pounds
- Capable of lifting objects above shoulders up to 35 pounds
- Able to push and pull moveable carts weighing in excess of 250 pounds
- Able to walk and stand for extended periods, sometimes with aircraft turbulence
- Able to stoop, crouch, squat, climb and kneel
- Able to see clearly at 20 feet or more with corrective lenses or contacts
- Able to hear clearly verbal communications in person and over airplane communication systems
- Able to sit in assigned jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without modifications
- Able to move about aircraft and perform all required functions freely, effectively and quickly in confined environment
- Willing and able to work a varied schedule to meet operational needs
- Travel up to 25% of the time, including nights, weekends, holidays and overnight stays
- Polished and professional interpersonal skills with positive attitude and customer-oriented mindset
