About This Role
PHI Health is hiring a Captain for EC135 helicopter air-ambulance operations at its Middlefield, Ohio base. The position supports SPIFR/NVG flying in 24-hour day/night operations and combines life-saving patient transport with strict safety, service and community-outreach expectations. Pilots perform line duties, support PHI's Safety Management System, Destination Zero and other safety campaigns, work with internal and external customers, and help load or unload patients and equipment when needed. The posting advertises a sign-on bonus of up to $50,000 and a 7&7 schedule.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate the EC135 in helicopter air-ambulance SPIFR/NVG missions, perform line-pilot duties under the GOM, follow PHI Air Medical policies, support the Safety Management System and Destination Zero, serve internal and external customers, participate in community outreach, and assist with patient and equipment loading when needed.

Requirements
- The successful candidate must hold Commercial and Instrument Helicopter Ratings and a First Class Medical.
- CAMTS requirements are 2,000 total hours, 1,500 helicopter hours, 1,000 helicopter PIC hours, 500 turbine-helicopter hours, and 75 instrument hours in actual and hood conditions, plus either 100 hours of unaided night operations or 50 hours unaided and 100 hours using NVG.
- The pilot must meet PHI's 235 lb flight-personnel limit, pass the physical, drug and background screens, live within one hour of the base, and meet the stated service commitments for transition or relocation.
