Wilderness is seeking a Head of Operations & Chief Pilot for their Cessna 208 Caravan operation based in Wilson Airport, Nairobi. This senior leadership role requires minimum 1000 hours total flight time with 500 hours PIC on type, valid ATPL, and bush flying experience preferably in the Maasai Mara region.
Requirements
- Valid ATPL for Cessna 208 aircraft type
- Valid type rating for C208
- Valid medical certificate
- Valid radioteléphony
- Valid instrument rating for ASEA
- Valid recurrent and training
- Minimum 1000 hours total flight time
- Minimum 500 hours Pilot in Command on C208
- Bush flying experience (Maasai Mara preferred)
- Strong flying and decision-making skills in remote and dynamic environments
- In-depth knowledge of aviation regulations and procedures (KCARs)
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Proven leadership and situational awareness in flight operations
- High level of technical proficiency with Cessna 208 systems
- Strong focus on safety, compliance, and customer service
- Adaptability to bush flying and off-strip conditions
