About This Role
Solairus Aviation is seeking a full-time Hawker 900XP Captain for an operation at the KRDK airport near Owls Head, Maine. The position requires a safety-focused aviation professional who can work effectively with a demanding team, support clients' travel needs, and consistently uphold Solairus Aviation's culture of safety, service, and integrity.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Captain is responsible for the safe operation of the Hawker 900XP and for conducting flights safely and prudently. Duties include reviewing the aircraft's maintenance status
- conducting a complete pre-flight inspection in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual
- checking weather, route facilities, destination airports, and alternate airports
- operating in compliance with Solairus Aviation policies and procedures and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations
- ensuring the safety of passengers, aircraft, and crew
- and accurately completing all trip paperwork under current procedures.
Requirements
- Applicants must have 3,000 hours of total flight time, 1,500 hours of PIC time, 1,500 hours of MEL time, 500 hours of MEL PIC time, 500 hours of turbojet time, and 250 hours of instrument time.
- A type rating on the Hawker 900XP or a comparable aircraft, a first-class medical certificate, availability to work on an on-call basis, and annual ICAO international procedures training are required.
- The pilot must maintain a primary residence within a two-hour drive of KRKD or be willing to relocate.
