About This Role
Jet Access is seeking a Gulfstream GVIII/G800 Captain based at Nashville International Airport’s KJWN location for a Part 135/91 private aviation operation identified as approximately 250 flight hours per year. The Captain holds command authority across Jet Access’s managed and charter fleet, serves as the senior crewmember, exercises operational control, leads the flight crew, and represents the company with aircraft owners and passengers. The role combines safety-focused flight leadership, crew mentoring, client service, aircraft and maintenance coordination, regulatory compliance, and international operating responsibilities.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Captain sets the safety, professionalism, and service standard for every assignment
- mentors and provides in-flight guidance to First Officers
- delivers constructive post-flight feedback
- communicates crew development observations to the Chief Pilot
- and fosters open communication, mutual respect, and shared accountability. Flight responsibilities include operating in accordance with the Flight Operations Manual, FARs, and company policies
- exercising operational control and making final go or no-go decisions
- maintaining proficiency and currency
- leading flight planning, weather analysis, NOTAM review, and preparation
- and ensuring compliance with flight, duty-time, and rest requirements. The Captain delivers premium experiences for aircraft owners and passengers, manages itinerary changes and special requests with the Operations Control Center, conducts preflight briefings, manages in-flight service, and maintains a polished professional presence. The role also requires reviewing flight and maintenance logs, verifying airworthiness, coordinating open maintenance items, ensuring servicing and records are completed, monitoring engine trend data, confirming that manuals, charts, and required equipment are aboard, and coordinating required maintenance. Regulatory duties include accurate and timely flight, aircraft, and passenger records
- Ground and In-flight Security Coordinator responsibilities where applicable
- verification of crew and passenger documentation for international travel
- compliance with FAA, ICAO, customs, immigration, and foreign aviation authority requirements
- and participation in special projects. The schedule is variable and driven by aircraft assignments, charter demand, and owner travel, with early departures, late arrivals, multi-day trips, evening and weekend availability, on-call periods, recurrent training, compliance deadlines, Level 10 meetings, all-hands attendance when not on trips, and continuous communication with dispatch and scheduling.

Requirements
- Applicants must hold an ATP Certificate and a current First Class Medical Certificate.
- The posting requires 5,000 hours of total flying time, 1,500 hours of total Pilot-in-Command time, 500 hours of Multi-Engine PIC time, 250 hours of PIC time in type, and 250 hours of Turbine PIC time on the assigned aircraft.
- Candidates must have current experience in heavy Gulfstream aircraft, specifically a G500 or above, and must have completed initial or recurrent training on the required aircraft type within the preceding 12 months.
- Additional requirements include working knowledge of FAR Part 135 and Part 91 regulations, a valid state driver’s license and passport, proficiency with digital flight planning tools, avionics and web or mobile flight applications, and successful completion of a background check and pre-employment drug screening.

- Preferred qualifications include Part 135 or corporate flight experience with a managed fleet operator, experience mentoring junior pilots, familiarity with Avianis or ForeFlight Dispatch, extensive international and overwater experience, and participation in safety management, audit preparation, or fleet standardization initiatives.
