About This Role
Solairus Aviation is seeking a full-time Gulfstream GV Captain for an operation based at KVNY in Van Nuys, California. The Captain will be responsible for safe, compliant and professional flight operations, passenger and crew safety, aircraft readiness, flight planning, documentation and adherence to Solairus policies and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Captain is responsible for the safe operation of the Gulfstream GV aircraft and for conducting flights safely and prudently. Duties include reviewing aircraft maintenance status
- completing the approved Aircraft Flight Manual pre-flight inspection
- checking weather, facilities, route information, destination and alternate airports
- operating in accordance with Solairus Aviation policies, procedures and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations
- ensuring the safety of passengers, aircraft and crew
- and accurately completing all trip paperwork under current procedures.
Requirements
- Applicants must have 3,000 hours of total flight time, 1,500 hours of PIC time, 1,500 hours of MEL time, 500 hours of MEL PIC time, 500 hours of turbojet time and 250 hours of instrument time.
- The position requires a type rating on the Gulfstream GV or a comparable aircraft, a first-class medical, availability to work on an on-call basis and the ability to complete ICAO International procedures training annually.
- The applicant must maintain a primary residence within a two-hour drive of KVNY or be willing to relocate.
