About This Role
Solairus Aviation is seeking a full-time Gulfstream GV Captain for an operation based at KAUS in Austin. The Captain will operate the aircraft safely and prudently, support client travel needs, follow Solairus policies and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, and uphold the company’s culture of safety, service, and integrity.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Captain is responsible for the safe operation of the Gulfstream GV aircraft and for conducting flights in a safe and prudent manner. Duties include reviewing the aircraft’s maintenance status
- completing the proper pre-flight inspection in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual
- checking weather, facilities, route conditions, destination airports, and alternate airports
- ensuring compliance with Solairus Aviation policies, procedures, and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations
- protecting the safety of passengers, aircraft, and crew
- and accurately completing all trip paperwork under current procedures.
Requirements
- Applicants must have 3,000 hours of total time, 1,500 hours of PIC time, 1,500 hours of multi-engine land time, 500 hours of multi-engine land PIC time, 500 hours of turbojet time, and 250 hours of instrument time.
- The position requires a type rating on the Gulfstream GV or a comparable aircraft, a first-class medical certificate, availability to work on an on-call basis, and annual completion of ICAO international procedures training.
- Candidates must maintain a primary residence within a two-hour drive of KAUS or be willing to relocate.
