About This Role
Solairus Aviation is seeking a full-time Gulfstream G650ER Captain for an operation based at Van Nuys (KVNY), California. The role joins a team committed to safely and expertly meeting client travel needs within Solairus' culture of safety, service, and integrity.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for the safe operation of the Gulfstream G650ER aircraft and for conducting flights safely and prudently. Duties include reviewing the maintenance status of the aircraft
- conducting a proper pre-flight inspection per the approved Aircraft Flight Manual
- completing a full check of weather and facilities along the route and at departure, destination, and alternate airports
- ensuring flights comply with Solairus policies and procedures and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations
- ensuring the safety of all passengers, aircraft, and crew
- and accurately completing all trip paperwork per current procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum flight experience: 3,000 hours total time
- 1,500 hours PIC
- 1,500 hours multi-engine land (MEL)
- 500 hours MEL PIC
- 500 hours in turbojet
- 250 hours instrument. Must be type rated on the Gulfstream G650ER or comparable aircraft. First class medical required. Must be able to work on an on-call basis, and able to complete ICAO International procedures training annually. Primary residence within a 2-hour drive from KVNY or willingness to relocate.
