About This Role
Solairus Aviation is seeking a full-time Gulfstream G650ER Captain for an operation based at KBED in Bedford, Massachusetts. The role is responsible for safe, compliant and service-oriented aircraft operations, including flight preparation, weather and airport planning, aircraft status review, passenger and crew safety, and accurate trip documentation. Applicants must meet substantial flight-time requirements, hold the required G650ER or comparable-aircraft type rating and first-class medical, remain available on call, complete annual ICAO international procedures training, and live within two hours of KBED or relocate.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Captain is responsible for the safe operation of the Gulfstream G650ER and for conducting flights safely and prudently under Solairus Aviation policies, applicable Federal Aviation Regulations and approved aircraft procedures. Duties include reviewing aircraft maintenance status
- conducting the required pre-flight inspection in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual
- checking weather, facilities, destinations, alternates and route airports
- ensuring compliance with company procedures and regulations
- protecting the safety of passengers, aircraft and crew
- and completing all trip paperwork accurately and according to current procedures.
Requirements
- Required qualifications include 3,000 hours of total flight time, 1,500 hours of PIC time, 1,500 hours of multi-engine land time, 500 hours of multi-engine PIC time, 500 hours of turbojet time, and 250 hours of instrument time.
- The applicant must be type rated on the Gulfstream G650ER or a comparable aircraft and hold a first-class medical.
- The role requires on-call availability, annual completion of ICAO international procedures training, and a primary residence within a two-hour drive of KBED or willingness to relocate.
