About This Role
Solairus Aviation is hiring a full-time Captain to command a Gulfstream G650ER based at Addison, TX (KADS) for a client operation. The Captain holds pilot-in-command responsibility for the safe, lawful operation of the aircraft, flying business-aviation trips for the operator's clients while upholding Solairus' culture of safety, service, and integrity. The role is worked on an on-call basis, requires annual ICAO International procedures training, and the ideal candidate lives within a two-hour drive of KADS or is willing to relocate.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for the safe operation of the Gulfstream G650ER and for conducting flights in a safe and prudent manner, including: reviewing the maintenance status of the aircraft
- performing a proper pre-flight inspection in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual
- completing a thorough check of weather and facilities along the route to be flown and the airports to be used, including alternate airports
- ensuring each flight is conducted in accordance with Solairus Aviation's policies and procedures and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations
- ensuring the safety of all passengers, aircraft, and crew
- and accurately completing all trip paperwork in accordance with current procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum flight experience: 3,000 hours total time, 1,500 hours PIC, 1,500 hours multi-engine land (MEL), 500 hours MEL PIC, 500 hours turbojet time, and 250 hours instrument.
- Must be type rated on the Gulfstream G650ER or a comparable aircraft and hold a current First Class medical.
- Must be able to work on an on-call basis and to complete ICAO International procedures training annually.
- Primary residence must be within a two-hour drive of Addison (KADS), or the candidate must be willing to relocate.
