About This Role
Solairus Aviation is seeking a full-time Gulfstream G650 Captain for an operation based at KBUR in Burbank, California. The role is focused on safely and professionally meeting client travel needs while maintaining the company’s culture of safety, service, and integrity. The Captain will work closely with the operation to ensure safe aircraft, passenger, and crew management and must be available for on-call assignments.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Captain is responsible for the safe operation of the Gulfstream G650 and for conducting flights in a safe and prudent manner. Responsibilities include reviewing the aircraft’s maintenance status
- completing the proper pre-flight inspection in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual
- checking weather, route facilities, destination airports, and alternate airports
- and ensuring compliance with Solairus Aviation policies, procedures, and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations. The role also requires ensuring the safety of all passengers, the aircraft, and the crew, as well as accurately completing all trip paperwork in accordance with current procedures.
What We Offer
Solairus states that crewmembers are paid between $50,000 and $500,000.Compensation varies according to geographic area, experience, equipment type or aircraft, job duties, training, and the assigned account.
Requirements
- The posting requires 3,000 hours of total flight time, 1,500 hours PIC, 1,500 hours MEL, 500 hours MEL PIC, 500 hours of turbojet time, and 250 hours of instrument time.
- Candidates must be type rated on the Gulfstream G650 or a comparable aircraft and hold a first-class medical.
- The Captain must be able to work on an on-call basis, complete ICAO International procedures training annually, and maintain a primary residence within a two-hour drive of KBUR or be willing to relocate.
