About This Role
Solairus Aviation is seeking a full-time Gulfstream G600 Captain for its KVNY operation in Van Nuys. The Captain will operate the aircraft safely and prudently, support passenger and crew safety, maintain high standards of service and integrity, and comply with company procedures and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Captain is responsible for the safe operation of the Gulfstream G600. Duties include reviewing the aircraft maintenance status
- conducting a complete pre-flight inspection in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual
- checking weather, facilities, route information, destination airports, and alternates
- conducting flights according to Solairus Aviation policies, procedures, and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations
- ensuring the safety of passengers, aircraft, and crew
- and accurately completing all trip paperwork under current procedures.
Requirements
- Applicants must have 3,000 hours of total flight time, 1,500 hours of PIC time, 1,500 hours of MEL time, 500 hours of MEL PIC time, 500 hours in turbojet aircraft, and 250 hours of instrument time.
- The position requires a type rating on the Gulfstream G600 or a comparable aircraft, a first-class medical, availability to work on an on-call basis, and completion of ICAO international procedures training each year.
- The pilot must live within a two-hour drive of KVNY or be willing to relocate.
