About This Role
Solairus Aviation is seeking a full-time Gulfstream G550 Captain for an operation based at KTEB airport in Teterboro, New Jersey. The Captain will safely and professionally operate the aircraft while supporting client travel and upholding Solairus Aviation's culture of safety, service, integrity, and operational excellence. The role requires a highly dependable colleague who can work on call, maintain current international procedures training, and live within two hours of KTEB or relocate.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Captain is responsible for the safe operation of the Gulfstream G550 and for conducting flights safely and prudently in accordance with Solairus Aviation policies, procedures, and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations. Duties include reviewing the aircraft's maintenance status
- completing a proper pre-flight inspection in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual
- checking weather, airport facilities, route airports, and alternates
- ensuring the safety of passengers, aircraft, and crew
- and accurately completing all trip paperwork under current procedures.
Requirements
- Applicants must have 3,000 hours of total flight time, 1,500 hours of PIC time, 1,500 hours of MEL time, 500 hours of MEL PIC time, 500 hours of turbojet time, and 250 hours of instrument time.
- A type rating on the Gulfstream G550 or a comparable aircraft is required, along with a first-class medical certificate.
- The Captain must be able to work on an on-call basis, complete ICAO International procedures training annually, and maintain a primary residence within a two-hour drive of KTEB or be willing to relocate.
