About This Role
Solairus Aviation is hiring a full-time Gulfstream G500 Captain to support a private flight operation based at Camarillo Airport (KCMA) in California. Duties & Responsibilities
- The Captain is responsible for the safe operation of the Gulfstream G500 aircraft and for conducting all flights in a safe and prudent manner. Duties include reviewing the maintenance status of the aircraft
- carrying out a proper pre-flight inspection in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual
- completing a full check of weather and facilities along the route to be flown and at all airports to be used, including alternates
- ensuring each flight is conducted in accordance with Solairus Aviation's policies and procedures and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations
- ensuring the safety of all passengers, aircraft, and crew
- and accurately completing all trip paperwork in line with current procedures.
Requirements
- Flight experience: 3,000 hours total time
- 1,500 hours pilot-in-command
- 1,500 hours multi-engine land (MEL)
- 500 hours MEL PIC
- 500 hours in turbojet aircraft
- and 250 hours instrument time. Certifications: must be type rated on the Gulfstream G500 or a comparable aircraft, and hold a valid first-class medical certificate. Additional requirements: must be able to work on an on-call basis
- must complete ICAO International procedures training annually
- and must maintain a primary residence within a two-hour drive of KCMA or be willing to relocate.
