About This Role
Solairus Aviation is seeking a full-time Gulfstream G450 and G550 Captain for an operation based at KAUS in Austin, Texas. The role requires a safety-focused, service-oriented colleague who can operate the aircraft professionally, support Solairus Aviation's culture of safety, service, and integrity, and meet the travel needs of clients while maintaining high standards of performance.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Captain is responsible for the safe operation of the Gulfstream G450 and G550 aircraft and for conducting flights safely and prudently. Duties include reviewing aircraft maintenance status
- completing the approved Aircraft Flight Manual pre-flight inspection
- checking weather, facilities, route conditions, destination airports, and alternates
- ensuring compliance with Solairus Aviation policies and procedures and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations
- protecting the safety of passengers, aircraft, and crew
- and accurately completing all trip paperwork in accordance with current procedures.
Requirements
- Applicants must have 3,000 hours of total flight time, 1,500 hours of PIC time, 1,500 hours of MEL time, 500 hours of MEL PIC time, 500 hours in turbojet aircraft, and 250 hours of instrument time.
- The position requires a type rating on the Gulfstream G450 and G550 or a comparable aircraft, a first-class medical certificate, availability to work on an on-call basis, and the ability to complete ICAO international procedures training annually.
- The pilot must maintain a primary residence within a two-hour drive of KAUS or be willing to relocate.
