About This Role
Solairus Aviation is seeking a full-time Gulfstream G450 Captain to support a corporate flight operation based at South Bend International Airport (KSBN) in Indiana. The Captain will command the G450 on client trips while upholding Solairus' culture of safety, service, and integrity as part of a dedicated crew. This is a full-time, on-call position requiring a primary residence within a two-hour drive of KSBN or a willingness to relocate.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Captain is responsible for the safe operation of the Gulfstream G450 and for conducting flights in a safe and prudent manner.
- Duties include reviewing the maintenance status of the aircraft, performing a proper pre-flight inspection in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual, and completing a thorough check of weather and facilities along the route to be flown and the airports to be used, including alternates.
- The Captain ensures each flight is conducted in accordance with Solairus Aviation policies and procedures and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, safeguards the safety of all passengers, aircraft and crew, and accurately completes all trip paperwork in line with current procedures.
Requirements
- Applicants must have 3,000 hours total flight time, including 1,500 hours pilot-in-command (PIC), 1,500 hours multi-engine land (MEL), 500 hours multi-engine land PIC, 500 hours in turbojet aircraft, and 250 hours of instrument time.
- Candidates must be type rated on the Gulfstream G450 or a comparable aircraft and hold a First Class medical certificate.
- The role also requires the ability to work on an on-call basis, completion of ICAO International procedures training annually, and a primary residence within a two-hour drive of South Bend International Airport (KSBN) or willingness to relocate.
