About This Role
Solairus Aviation is seeking a full-time Captain for a Gulfstream G150 and Global 5000 operation at KSAT airport in San Antonio. The role is responsible for safe, prudent and compliant flight operations, passenger and crew safety, aircraft status and pre-flight preparation, route and airport planning, accurate trip documentation, and adherence to Solairus policies, procedures and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations. The operation emphasizes teamwork, excellence, safety, service and integrity while meeting clients' travel needs.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Captain is responsible for the safe operation of the Gulfstream G150 and Global 5000 aircraft and for conducting flights in a safe and prudent manner. Duties include reviewing the aircraft's maintenance status
- completing a proper pre-flight inspection in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual
- checking weather and facilities along the route, including the airports and alternate airports to be used
- ensuring compliance with Solairus Aviation policies and procedures and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations
- protecting the safety of passengers, aircraft and crew
- and accurately completing all trip paperwork under current procedures.
Requirements
- Qualifications specify 3,000 hours of total flight time, 1,500 hours of PIC time, 1,500 hours of MEL time, 500 hours of MEL PIC time, 500 hours of Turbo Jet time and 250 hours of instrument time.
- Applicants must be type rated on the Gulfstream G150 and Global 5000 or a comparable aircraft and must hold a first-class medical.
- The Captain must be able to work on an on-call basis, complete ICAO International procedures training annually, and maintain a primary residence within a two-hour drive of KSAT or be willing to relocate.
