About This Role
Solairus Aviation is seeking a full-time Global 8000 Captain for an operation based in Florida. The captain will safely operate the aircraft and meet clients’ travel needs while upholding the company’s standards of safety, service, and integrity. The role includes reviewing aircraft maintenance status, conducting preflight inspections and route checks, ensuring regulatory and company compliance, protecting passengers and crew, and completing trip documentation. Candidates must meet the stated flight-time requirements, hold a type rating on the Global 8000 or a comparable aircraft and a first-class medical, be available on call, and live in Florida or be willing to relocate.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate the Global 8000 safely and conduct flights prudently in accordance with Solairus Aviation policies and procedures and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Review the aircraft’s maintenance status and perform a proper preflight inspection using the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
- Thoroughly check weather and facilities along the planned route and at destination and alternate airports.
- Ensure the safety of passengers, aircraft, and crew throughout the operation.
- Accurately complete all trip paperwork in accordance with current procedures while working with the team to meet clients’ travel needs.
Requirements
- Candidates must have 3,000 hours total flight time, 1,500 hours as pilot in command, 1,500 hours in multi-engine land aircraft, 500 hours as pilot in command in multi-engine land aircraft, 500 hours in turbojet aircraft, and 250 hours of instrument time.
- A type rating on the Global 8000 or a comparable aircraft and a first-class medical are required.
- Candidates must be able to work on call and complete ICAO international procedures training annually.
- Their primary residence must be in Florida, or they must be willing to relocate.
