Sierra Nevada Corporation seeks an experienced Senior Pilot for Global 6500 operations in Shalimar, FL. This deployed-only position requires leadership of complex missions, mentoring junior pilots, and participation in experimental test flights. Requires minimum 3000 hours total time, 500 PIC hours on Global 6500, and current Top Secret security clearance with U.S. citizenship.
Requirements
- Minimum 3000 hours total flight time
- Commercial Pilot License (CPL) with instrument and multi-engine ratings
- FAA issued Second Class Medical Certificate
- 500 PIC hours in Global 6500/6000 or 1000 PIC hours in similar type for direct hire
- Minimum 2500 hours total fixed-wing time in multi-engine turboprop or jet aircraft with GTOW 12,500 or greater
- Radio Telephone Operators License (FCC issued)
- Valid U.S. passport and travel documents
- Current active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance with SCI eligibility
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Ability to pass FAA/Military Pilot Background Check
- Ability to pass mandatory drug and alcohol screening
- Ability to deploy OCONUS for extended periods on 60/60 rotation
- Ability to meet DoD and Combatant Command deployment requirements
- Successfully pass pre-deployment medical assessment
- Willing to work extended hours, holidays, and shift schedules
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to hear and respond to audio cues in loud environments
- Global 6000/6500 Type rating highly desired
- Airline Transport Pilot Certificate desired
- First Class Medical Certificate preferred
- Bachelor's Degree from accredited college or university desired
- Recency and similar aircraft type experience desired
- Prior ISR mission or military service experience desired
