About This Role
Solairus Aviation is seeking a full-time Global 6000 Captain to join an operation based at Van Nuys Airport (KVNY). The role supports a client-focused corporate flight operation, flying the Global 6000 while upholding Solairus' culture of safety, service, and integrity.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for the safe operation of the Global 6000 aircraft and for conducting flights in a safe and prudent manner. Duties include reviewing the maintenance status of the aircraft
- performing a proper pre-flight inspection in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual
- completing a full check of weather and facilities along the route and at departure, destination, and alternate airports
- ensuring flights comply with Solairus Aviation policies and procedures and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations
- ensuring the safety of all passengers, aircraft, and crew
- and accurately completing all trip paperwork in accordance with current procedures.
Requirements
- Required flight experience: 3,000 hours total time
- 1,500 hours PIC
- 1,500 hours multi-engine land (MEL)
- 500 hours MEL PIC
- 500 hours in turbojet aircraft
- and 250 hours instrument time. Must be type rated on the Global 6000 or a comparable aircraft. A first class medical is required. The candidate must be able to work on an on-call basis, complete ICAO international procedures training annually, and maintain a primary residence within a two-hour drive of KVNY or be willing to relocate.
