About This Role
Solairus Aviation is seeking a full-time Global 6000 Captain for an operation based at KVNY in Van Nuys, California. The Captain will operate the aircraft safely and prudently, support client travel, uphold Solairus Aviation’s standards of safety, service, and integrity, and complete all operational, regulatory, and trip-documentation responsibilities.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Captain is responsible for the safe operation of the Global 6000 aircraft and for conducting flights in a safe and prudent manner. Duties include reviewing aircraft maintenance status
- performing a complete pre-flight inspection in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual
- checking weather, facilities, route information, destination and alternate airports
- ensuring compliance with Solairus Aviation policies, procedures, and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations
- protecting the safety of passengers, aircraft, and crew
- and accurately completing all trip paperwork under current procedures.
Requirements
- Applicants must have 3,000 hours of total time, 1,500 hours PIC, 1,500 hours MEL, 500 hours MEL PIC, 500 hours of turbojet time, and 250 hours instrument time.
- The applicant must be type rated on the Global 6000 or a comparable aircraft and hold a first-class medical.
- The role requires availability to work on an on-call basis, annual ICAO international procedures training, and a primary residence within a two-hour drive of KVNY or willingness to relocate.
