About This Role
Solairus Aviation is seeking a full-time Global 6000 Captain for an operation at KSJC in Northern California. The Captain will be responsible for the safe and prudent operation of the aircraft, including maintenance-status review, approved pre-flight inspections, route and airport weather and facilities checks, compliance with company procedures and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, passenger and crew safety, and accurate trip paperwork. The posting requires 3,000 hours total time, 1,500 hours PIC, 1,500 hours MEL, 500 hours MEL PIC, 500 hours turbojet time, and 250 hours instrument time, along with a first-class medical, on-call availability, annual ICAO international procedures training, and residence within five hours of KSJC or willingness to relocate.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Captain is responsible for the safe operation of the Global 6000 and for conducting flights in a safe and prudent manner. Duties include reviewing the aircraft maintenance status
- conducting a proper pre-flight inspection in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual
- completing a full check of weather and facilities along the route, including the airports to be used and alternate airports
- ensuring flights comply with Solairus Aviation policies and procedures and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations
- ensuring the safety of all passengers, the aircraft, and the crew
- and accurately completing all trip paperwork in accordance with current procedures.

Requirements
- Qualifications require 3,000 hours total time, 1,500 hours PIC, 1,500 hours MEL, 500 hours MEL PIC, 500 hours turbojet time, and 250 hours instrument time.
- A first-class medical is required.
- Applicants must be able to work on an on-call basis and complete ICAO international procedures training annually.
- Their primary residence must be within a five-hour drive from KSJC, unless they are willing to relocate.
- A type rating on the Global 6000 or a comparable aircraft is not required.
- Global experience is preferred, and differences training will be provided.
