About This Role
Solairus Aviation is seeking a full-time Global 5000 Captain for an operation based at KOPF in Opa-locka, Florida. The Captain will operate the aircraft safely and prudently, protect passengers, crew, and equipment, comply with Solairus procedures and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, and complete required operational documentation. The role requires substantial total, PIC, multi-engine, turbojet, and instrument experience, Global 5000 or comparable type qualification, a first-class medical, annual ICAO international procedures training, and availability for on-call work.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Captain is responsible for the safe operation of the Global 5000 aircraft and for conducting flights safely and prudently. Duties include reviewing the aircraft maintenance status
- performing a complete pre-flight inspection in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual
- checking weather, route facilities, destination airports, and alternate airports
- ensuring compliance with Solairus Aviation policies, procedures, and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations
- protecting the safety of passengers, aircraft, and crew
- and accurately completing all trip paperwork under current procedures.
Requirements
- The posting requires 3,000 hours of total flight time, 1,500 hours of PIC time, 1,500 hours of MEL time, 500 hours of MEL PIC time, 500 hours in turbojets, and 250 hours of instrument time.
- Candidates must be type rated on the Global 5000 or a comparable aircraft and hold a first-class medical.
- The Captain must be able to work on an on-call basis, complete ICAO international procedures training annually, and either maintain a primary residence within a two-hour drive of KOPF or be willing to relocate.
