UNSW School of Aviation seeks Flying Instructors to deliver airborne and simulated flying instruction to students at Bankstown Airport in Sydney. Requires Australian Air Transport Pilot or Commercial Pilot Licence with instructor rating. Salary $76K-$120K AUD plus 17% superannuation.
Requirements
- Hold an Australian Air Transport Pilot or Commercial Pilot Licence with aeroplane category rating
- Hold manual propeller pitch control and retractable undercarriage design feature endorsements (Level 3)
- Hold an instructor rating with grade 3A or grade 2 aeroplane training endorsement and design feature training endorsement
- Demonstrated experience as a flying instructor with successful track record of first solo assessments
- Valid Class 1 Medical Certificate or equivalent certification appropriate to flying instruction
- Valid security and drug and alcohol screening certification
- Competent knowledge of Civil Aviation Safety Regulations 1998 Part 61 Manual of Standards
- Knowledge of human factors and non-technical skills
- Ability to pass standardisation and proficiency check with Head of Operations
- Understanding of and commitment to UNSW's aims, objectives and values
- Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities
- For Level 4: Instrument rating with multi-engine aeroplane, instrument approach 2D and 3D endorsements
- For Level 4: Grade two instructor rating with instrument rating and class rating (multi-engine) endorsements
- For Level 5: Grade one instructor rating with instrument rating, class rating (multi-engine), NVFR, and design feature endorsements
- For Level 6: Instructor rating aeroplane, multi-engine aeroplane class rating instructor, and spin training endorsements
- For Level 6: At least 2,000 hours of airborne instruction time as a grade one instructor
