About This Role
Bombardier is hiring a Flight Test Captain for its Montreal Flight Operations Challenger Flight Test operation in Dorval, Quebec, Canada. The position performs production ground and flight tests to validate aircraft airworthiness, along with demonstration flights for potential customers, Customer Acceptance flights, and ferry flights. It also involves pre- and post-flight activities, possible extended weekend-schedule support, potential support for the Bombardier Flight Test Center, and manual and documentation review. The stated qualifications include a valid Canadian ATPL and Class 1 medical, 3,500 total flight hours, 500 PIC hours on large multi-engine aircraft, flexibility for irregular hours, and short-notice travel.

- Conduct production ground and flight tests to validate aircraft airworthiness

- and, when required, support the weekend schedule for extended periods, the Bombardier Flight Test Center, and manual and other documentation review.
Requirements
- Required qualifications include a valid Canadian ATPL and Class 1 medical
- a minimum of 3,500 hours of total flight time, including 500 hours as PIC on large multi-engine aircraft
- flexibility to work irregular hours and travel on short notice
- the right to work and live in Canada
- strong communication and interpersonal skills

- the ability to perform aircraft-commander duties while maintaining a positive and cooperative relationship with the crew and management
- the ability to manage stressful situations
- and working knowledge of MS Office. Previous flight-test experience or a strong technical background in certification or training is a definite asset, and a US ATP is also an asset.
