About This Role
Metrea (Metrea Strategic Mobility / Air Mobility Group) seeks a Flight Operations Lead Captain in Temecula, CA. The role ensures operational excellence, safety, and FAA regulatory compliance of flight operations, oversees and vectors pilots, and assists the Head of Flight Operations. It also serves as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) of the company's KC-135 tanker aircraft, exercising final authority for safe and compliant aerial-refueling missions. Salary range $195,000.00 to $215,000.00 annually.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the Pilot Records Database (PRD) process in determining hiring eligibility for crew members.
  • Acts as a liaison between crew members and other managers.
  • May plan and modify routes for company aircraft in operations.
  • Maintain an adequate roster of properly qualified, current, and available pilots.
  • Ensure each pilot assigned to flight duty meets applicable requirements and certification is maintained.
  • Monitor pilot currency and legality and remove any pilot from the schedule before expiration of any applicable qualification requirement.
  • Serve as PIC in KC-135 operations, adhering to all applicable provisions and regulations.
  • Adhere to company Flight Operation Procedures (FOPs), Ground Operation Procedures (GOPs), FAA regulations, and Safety Notices.
  • Maintain all currencies, qualifications, and advanced systems knowledge related to the MSM KC-135 tanker fleet.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management or related field or 10 years equivalent experience.
  • ATP Multi-Engine Land with B-707/B-720 Type Ratings (Restricted ATP permissible).
  • Previous USAF Instructor and Evaluator certification for KC-135 desired.
  • Extensive KC-135 flight experience.
  • Must be highly knowledgeable in applicable FAA, Metrea Manuals, and all related policies and procedures.
  • Knowledgeable on the use of Foreflight.
  • Valid Driver's License and US Passport.
  • Ability to maintain Top Secret clearance.
  • Applicants must be a U.S. citizen.
