About This Role
FlightSafety International, the world's premier professional aviation training company, is seeking an experienced Flight Instructor for their Wichita, Kansas location. The role involves delivering ground and simulator flight instruction to pilots from around the world attending core, specialty, and enrichment training courses. Candidates must hold an unrestricted ATP certificate and at least one unrestricted PIC type rating, with preferred experience in FAR Part 135, Part 121, or military training. The position offers the opportunity to work with advanced full-flight simulators and contribute to aviation safety training while supporting professional pilot development.
Requirements
- Unrestricted ATP certificate or ICAO member state Airline Transport Pilot License
- Meet 14 CFR Part 61.153 and 61.64 requirements without Supervised Operating Experience limitation
- Minimum one unrestricted PIC type rating
- Preferred: 2,500 hours total flight time
- Preferred: FAR Part 135, Part 121, or military training experience
- Knowledge of aviation safety standards and practices
- Knowledge of common aviation regulations
- Ability to manage classes and teach effectively
- First-level facilitation and customer service skills
- Ability to be coachable and receive feedback
- Valid U.S. medical certification
- Must participate in DOT Drug and Alcohol testing program
- U.S. Person status or export authorization eligibility (ITAR/EAR compliance)
- Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government security clearance
