About This Role
FlightSafety International, the world's premier professional aviation training company, is seeking a Flight Instructor for their Wichita, Kansas location. This role involves delivering comprehensive ground and simulator flight instruction to pilots from around the world in accordance with aviation regulations and FlightSafety training principles. Candidates must hold an unrestricted ATP certificate and at least one unrestricted PIC type rating, with preferred experience including FAR Part 121/135 or military training background. The position offers the opportunity to work with advanced full-flight simulators and contribute to the professional development of aviation professionals from 167 countries.
Requirements
- Unrestricted ATP (Airline Transport Pilot) certificate or ICAO member state equivalent
- Meet 14 CFR Part 61.153 and 14 CFR Part 61.64 requirements without SOE limitation
- Minimum one unrestricted PIC type rating
- Willingness to participate in DOT Drug and Alcohol testing program
- Knowledge of aviation safety standards and practices
- Knowledge of common aviation regulations
- Ability to manage classes and teach effectively
- First-level facilitation skills
- First-level customer service skills
- Ability to be coachable and receive feedback
- Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception
- Ability to adjust visual focus
- Physical capability to manipulate rudder controls and simulator controls from instructor chair
- Ability to enter/exit simulator via provided ramp
- Ability to exit malfunctioned simulator in severely pitched attitude
- Ability to lift and move up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 25 pounds frequently
- Eligible to comply with U.S. export control regulations (ITAR/EAR)
- May require U.S. Government security clearance eligibility
