About This Role
Cirrus Aircraft is seeking an experienced Flight Instructor to provide learner-centric flight training on Cirrus SR and SF model aircraft at their premier Services Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years pilot experience with 750 dual given hours or 500 hours in Cirrus aircraft, along with current FAA Flight Instructor and Commercial Pilot certificates. Beyond classroom instruction, the role includes acting as pilot-in-command for demonstration flights, proficiency checks, and corporate flight operations. Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide industry-leading, learner-centric flight training on Cirrus SR and SF model aircraft
- Conduct flight and ground instruction following Cirrus policy and procedure standards
- Act as pilot in command of Cirrus aircraft for demonstration, repositioning, post-maintenance, and internal training flights
- Conduct FAA flight reviews and proficiency checks
- Assess pilot performance in psychomotor, cognitive, and affective domains
- Recommend students for FAA written and practical tests
- Record all training event activities and results in pilot training records
- Perform pre-flight and post-flight inspections, maintenance, and aircraft preparation
- Maintain communication with students pre- and post-training
- Identify and communicate pilot progression and opportunities
- Contribute to safety management and process improvements

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years pilot experience
- 750 dual given hours or 500 hours in Cirrus aircraft
- Current FAA Flight Instructor Certificate (Airplane Single Engine Instrument)
- FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate (Airplane Single Engine Land Instrument)
- Current Second-class Airman Medical Certificate or higher
- IFR in congested airspace, mountain flying, extensive IMC, international flight, and night experience preferred
