About This Role
FlightSafety International, the world's premier aviation training company, is seeking a Flight Instructor to deliver ground and simulator flight instruction at their Dallas-Fort Worth training center. The company operates the world's largest fleet of advanced full-flight simulators and serves pilots and aviation professionals from 167 countries. Candidates must hold an unrestricted ATP certificate and have minimum one unrestricted PIC type rating, with preferred experience including 2,500+ total flight hours and Part 121, Part 135, or military training background. This instructor role involves developing training materials, evaluating trainee progress, and maintaining regulatory qualifications while working in a dynamic, client-focused training environment.
Requirements
- Unrestricted ATP certificate or ICAO member state Airline Transport Pilot License
- Minimum one unrestricted PIC type rating
- Ability and willingness to participate in DOT Drug and Alcohol testing program
- Meet requirements of 14 CFR part 61.153 and 14 CFR part 61.64 (if no ATP)
- Knowledge of aviation safety standards and practices
- Knowledge of common aviation regulations
- Ability to manage classes and teach effectively
- First-level facilitation skills
- First-level customer service skills
- Ability to be coachable and receive feedback
- Valid color vision, depth perception, and visual acuity
- Physical ability to operate simulator controls and exit from emergency situations
- Preferred: FAR Part 135, FAR Part 121, or military training experience
- Preferred: 2,500 hours of total flight time
- U.S. Person status or export authorization eligibility (for ITAR/EAR compliance)
- Potential requirement for U.S. Government security clearance
