About This Role
FlightSafety International, the world's premier professional aviation training company, is seeking a Flight Instructor for their Denver, CO location. The role involves delivering exceptional ground and simulator flight instruction to pilots from 167 countries across core, specialty, and enrichment training courses. Candidates must hold an unrestricted ATP certificate and a minimum of one unrestricted PIC type rating, with preferred experience of 2,500 total flight hours and background in FAR Part 135, Part 121, or military training. Requirements
- Unrestricted ATP (Airline Transport Pilot) certificate or ICAO member state equivalent
- Minimum one unrestricted PIC type rating
- Must meet 14 CFR part 61.153 and 14 CFR part 61.64 without SOE limitation if no ATP
- Ability to participate in DOT Drug and Alcohol testing program
- Knowledge of aviation safety standards and practices
- Knowledge of common aviation regulations
- Ability to manage classes and teach effectively
- First-level facilitation skills
- First-level customer service skills
- Ability to be coachable and receive feedback
- Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception
- Ability to reach with hands and arms from instructor's chair
- Ability to manipulate rudder controls and anti-torque pedals with both feet
- Ability to enter and exit simulator via ramp
- Ability to exit malfunctioned simulator in severely pitched attitude
- Ability to frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds
- Ability to work near moving mechanical parts
- U.S. Person status (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or eligible refugee/asylee) for export control compliance
- Possible requirement to obtain and maintain U.S. Government security clearance
- Preferred: FAR Part 135, FAR Part 121, or military training experience
- Preferred: 2,500 hours total flight time
