About This Role
FlightSafety International, the world's premier professional aviation training company, is seeking a Flight Instructor for their Atlanta training center. The role involves delivering ground and simulator flight instruction to pilots from around the world according to aviation regulations and FlightSafety training principles. Candidates must hold an unrestricted ATP certificate or equivalent ICAO Airline Transport Pilot License, with at least one unrestricted PIC type rating and 2,500 hours of total flight time preferred. The position requires strong teaching abilities, aviation safety knowledge, and the ability to manage simulator training environments and develop curriculum materials.
Requirements
- Unrestricted ATP certificate or ICAO member state Airline Transport Pilot License
- 14 CFR part 61.153 compliance without Supervised Operating Experience (SOE) limitation
- 14 CFR part 61.64 compliance
- Minimum one unrestricted PIC type rating
- Able and willing to participate in DOT Drug and Alcohol testing program
- Knowledge of aviation safety standards and practices
- Knowledge of common aviation regulations
- Ability to manage classes and teach effectively
- First-level facilitation skills
- First-level customer service skills
- Ability to be coachable and receive feedback
- Valid U.S. Person status or export authorization eligibility
- Potential requirement for U.S. Government security clearance
- Physical ability to operate simulator controls and instructor station
