About This Role
Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) Department of Aerospace hires Certified Flight Instructors for temporary hourly positions at its collegiate flight school. The recruitment process includes a resume and application, a 1-hour technical test, a 10-minute ground-lesson teaching presentation, and a 1-hour interview, all completed in person at MTSU facilities. There are two hiring/start dates annually (normally the last Monday in July and the first Monday in December).
Duties & Responsibilities
- Certified Flight Instructor (ASE, IA, and AME) role at the MTSU Department of Aerospace collegiate flight school.
- Candidates progress through a technical test, a ground-lesson teaching presentation, and an interview, then complete proficiency flights, online training, new-hire training, and flight instructor training prior to hire.
