About This Role
Air Japan seeks Japan-resident Captains who can work in Japan without restriction and hold a current Japanese airline transport pilot certificate. The role flies the Boeing 787 and other company-designated aircraft, primarily from Narita and Haneda, with separate experience pathways for pilots currently working inside and outside Japan.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate Boeing 787 aircraft and other aircraft types designated by the company, and perform related flight operations duties.
Requirements
- Applicants must be captains residing in Japan who are authorized to work in Japan without restriction and meet either experience profile 1 or 2, plus all common requirements.
- Profile 1 — currently employed in Japan: at least 2,500 hours as captain, including at least 1,000 hours as captain on jet aircraft with a Japanese airline; alternatively, at least 1,000 hours as captain on wide-body jet aircraft with a maximum takeoff weight of 200,000 kg or more.
- Profile 2 — currently employed outside Japan: at least 2,500 hours as captain, including at least 1,000 hours as captain on jet aircraft with a Japanese airline.
- In principle, applicants must hold all four valid Japan-issued licenses and certificates both when applying and when joining: an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate, an Aeronautical Radio Operator License, Aviation English Proficiency Level 4 or higher, and a Class 1 Aviation Medical Certificate.
