Republic Airways is hiring Flight Attendants based in Indianapolis, IN for one of North America's largest regional airlines. The position requires minimum 2 years of customer service experience and involves ensuring passenger safety and comfort on 1,000+ daily flights. Requirements
- Minimum 20 years of age by date of first interview
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 2 years of customer service experience
- Wingspan of approximately 55 inches or greater
- Able to sit in Flight Attendant jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without extender or modification
- Lap belt measurement 50 inches when fastened, shoulder harness 40 inches when fastened
- Fluent in English (spoken and written), including shouted verbal commands
- Able to operate emergency exits and equipment with force up to 70 pounds
- Able to push and pull moveable carts weighing in excess of 250 pounds
- Able to lift objects above shoulders up to 35 pounds
- Able to assist passengers stowing baggage weighing up to 35 pounds
- Able to walk and stand for extended periods with aircraft turbulence
- Able to stoop, crouch, squat, climb and kneel
- Clear vision at 20 feet or more with corrective lenses or contacts
- Able to clearly hear verbal communications with ambient aircraft and passenger noise
- Able to move about aircraft and perform all required functions in confined environment
- Able to work extended duty periods on sequential days
- Willing to serve alcoholic beverages
- Able and willing to serve and handle peanuts, meals containing shellfish/seafood, beef and pork
- Able to work with animals and around allergens and products
- No tattoos permitted on face, neck, or hands
- Tattoos in non-prohibited areas must not be visible while in uniform
- Must not have multiple piercings visible while in uniform
- Polished interpersonal skills with positive attitude and customer-oriented mindset
- Willing to work varied schedule including early mornings, nights, overnights and weekends
- Able to work in culturally diverse atmosphere
- Travel up to 100% of the time including nights, weekends, holidays and overnight
- Willing to relocate based on Company operational needs
- Able to remain calm and react quickly in emergency situations
- Valid passport with appropriate validity for travel
- Preferred: Additional customer service experience in aviation environment
- Preferred: Previous Flight Attendant experience
