Republic Airways is hiring Flight Attendants for their New York City base. This entry-level position requires a high school diploma and 2+ years of customer service experience. Candidates must be able to work 100% travel with flexible scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
- Minimum 20 years of age by date of first interview
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 2 years of customer service experience
- Wingspan of approximately 55 inches or greater
- Able to sit in Flight Attendant jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without modification (lap belt 50 inches, shoulder harness 40 inches when fastened)
- Able to lift and carry objects up to 35 pounds above shoulders
- Able to operate emergency equipment using force up to 70 pounds
- Able to push and pull moveable carts weighing in excess of 250 pounds
- Able to assist passengers stowing baggage weighing up to 35 pounds
- Able to walk and stand for extended periods with aircraft turbulence
- Able to stoop, crouch, squat, climb and kneel
- Able to see clearly at 20 feet or more with corrective lenses or contacts
- Able to clearly hear verbal communications including shouted commands
- Able to move about aircraft freely and quickly in confined environment
- Fluent in English, including understanding of shouted verbal commands during emergencies
- Willing to serve alcoholic beverages
- Able and willing to serve and handle peanuts, shellfish/seafood, beef, pork and other allergens
- Able to work with animals and around allergens
- No visible tattoos on face, neck, or hands (from wrist bone forward); tattoos in other areas must not be visible while in uniform
- No multiple visible piercings while in uniform
- Polished interpersonal skills with positive attitude and customer-oriented mindset
- Willing to work 100% travel requirement including nights, weekends, holidays and overnights
- Willing to relocate based on company operational needs
- Able to work extended duty periods on sequential days
- Able to work in culturally diverse atmosphere and stressful conditions
- Reliable and prompt attendance
- Professional appearance and adherence to company dress code
- Preferred: Additional customer service experience in aviation environment or previous Flight Attendant experience
