Republic Airways, one of North America's largest regional airlines, is hiring Flight Attendants for their New York base. This role ensures passenger safety and comfort while performing regulatory cabin duties. Requires high school diploma, 2+ years customer service experience, and ability to work extended duty periods with 100% travel.
Requirements
- Minimum 20 years of age by first interview date
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 2 years of customer service experience
- Fluent in English (spoken and written), including ability to shout verbal commands during emergencies
- Wingspan of approximately 55 inches or greater
- Able to sit in jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without modification
- Able to lift and carry objects up to 35 pounds
- Able to push and pull moveable carts weighing in excess of 250 pounds
- Able to operate emergency equipment using force up to 70 pounds
- Able to reach and safely operate all necessary aircraft equipment
- No visible tattoos on face, neck, or hands (includes underside of chin, cheeks, wrists)
- Tattoos in non-prohibited areas must not be visible while in uniform
- No more than single piercing per ear, no visible piercings while in uniform
- Able to walk and stand for extended periods with potential aircraft turbulence
- Able to stoop, crouch, squat, climb and kneel
- Clear vision at 20 feet or more with corrective lenses or contacts
- Able to hear verbal communications clearly in person and over airplane systems
- Able to move about aircraft freely and quickly in confined environment
- Able to work extended duty periods on sequential days
- Willing to serve alcoholic beverages
- Able to handle peanuts, shellfish/seafood, beef, pork and other allergens
- Able to work with animals and around various allergens
- Willing to work 100% travel including nights, weekends, holidays and overnight
- Willing to relocate based on operational needs
- Polished interpersonal skills with positive attitude and customer-oriented mindset
- Ability to remain calm and think quickly in emergency situations
- Ability to handle stress and unexpected changes in time-sensitive environment
- Capable of processing multiple instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
