United Airlines is hiring Flight Attendants with Dutch language fluency for multiple U.S. hub locations. This entry-level position offers competitive hourly pay ($28.88-$67.11), comprehensive benefits, flight privileges, and extensive training. Requirements
- Minimum 21 years of age at time of application
- High school graduate or GED (2+ years college preferred)
- At least one year of customer service experience in service industry
- Fluent in English (spoken, written, and understood)
- Fluent in Dutch (spoken and written)
- Ability to speak clearly and loudly to be heard in emergency situations
- Normal hearing in better ear (not greater than 40 dB loss at 500, 1000, and 2000 Hz)
- Each eye 20/40 or better corrected for far and near vision
- Professional appearance and excellent grooming standards
- Ability to pass functional reach assessment: 76-inch vertical and 43.5-inch horizontal reach (simultaneous) without shoes
- Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, stoop, stretch, reach, and lift heavy objects (up to 250 lbs)
- Ability to push and pull beverage cart (up to 250 lbs)
- Ability to sit in assigned jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness
- No tattoos on head, hands, fingers, or neck (including back of neck and ear)
- Visible tattoos permitted on arms, wrists, legs, and feet (max credit card size or must be covered)
- No visible tattoos that are violent, obscene, sexual, racist, or contain weapons imagery
- No decorative covers, adornments, or jewelry on teeth or in mouth
- Ability to proficiently operate electronic devices (phones, tablets, laptops)
- Valid U.S. or foreign passport with at least 18 months validity at time of application
- Ability to travel to and from all countries United serves without restrictions
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Willingness to complete evacuation drill in water (pool) during training
- Willingness and ability to work flexible schedule 24/7 (weekdays, weekends, holidays)
- Willingness and ability to fulfill reserve assignments on short notice
- Must pass DOT drug screen, comprehensive background check, and fingerprinting
- Must pass DOT/FAA pre-employment and randomized drug screens
- Medical and recreational marijuana prohibited
- Must pass 10-year background check (no DWI/DUI convictions within 10 years without Canadian Temporary Resident Permit)
- Background must not prohibit travel to or from any United destination
- Ability to serve and/or sell food and beverages (including alcohol) in professional manner
