About This Role
PHI Health is recruiting a Pilatus PC-24 Captain for two-pilot, IFR air-ambulance operations based in Houston. The Captain will fly day and night life-saving medical missions under CAMTS guidelines, support the safe transport of patients, and work closely with medical personnel, customers, communities, and PHI management. The operation runs continuously, with pilots assigned a 7-and-7 schedule and required to live within a one-hour commute of the base.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as pilot in command of the Pilatus PC-24 during two-pilot, airplane-IFR air-ambulance operations conducted around the clock on rotating day and night assignments.
- Perform line-pilot duties in accordance with the General Operations Manual and support the Safety Management System, Destination Zero, and other company safety campaigns.
- Coordinate with internal and external customers to provide safe, efficient, courteous, and reliable service.
- Participate in community outreach programs, comply with PHI Air Medical policies, and help load and unload patients and medical equipment when required.

Requirements
- Applicants must hold an Airplane ATP with a multi-engine land rating and a First Class Medical and must be current and qualified on the VE7A certificate. CAMTS experience requirements are 3,000 airplane hours, 1,500 hours as pilot in command, 500 hours as PIC in multi-engine turbine airplanes, and 100 hours at night. Candidates need strong communication and internal and external customer-service skills and must be interviewed and accepted by the customer and PHI management. They must live within one hour of the Houston base, meet the 235-pound body-weight limit, and pass a pre-placement physical and functional-capacity examination, including lifting 100 pounds, as well as drug and background screening. The role also requires specified tuberculosis screening, immunizations and antibody titers, an annual influenza vaccination, and COVID vaccination.
