About This Role
PHI Health, the leading air ambulance provider in the United States, is seeking a King Air 200 Captain to join their Kansas City, MO base and support their life-saving emergency medical transport operations. This position offers an attractive sign-on bonus up to $50,000 and a 7/7 work schedule with flexible roster patterns. Candidates must have a minimum of 2,000 hours as fixed wing pilot-in-command with 500 hours of multi-engine turbine aircraft experience, along with a Commercial Pilot Certificate and First Class Medical. Duties & Responsibilities
- Safely and expeditiously transport medical personnel, patients, and equipment to and from requested locations in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) and PHI operations manual
- Perform thorough preflight inspection immediately upon arrival
- Safely operate aircraft at appropriate altitudes considering wind, turbulence, oxygen requirements, patient condition, and applicable regulations
- Maintain availability in timely manner for any flight request during duty shift
- Ensure proper loading of passengers, cargo, and safety and security of aircraft
- Maintain awareness of current and forecast weather conditions and advise communications specialists and medical attendants
- Maintain radio communications with Communications Center providing position reports in accordance with PHI policies
- Perform post-flight inspections as soon as practical after each flight and report discrepancies to maintenance
- Advise Communications Center and medical personnel of any changes in aircraft status
- Provide recurrent training and shift briefings to assigned personnel as required
- Assist in public relations efforts when not required for aircraft duties
- Attend meetings with the program to coordinate and disseminate information

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent GED
- Commercial Pilot Certificate with appropriate ratings
- First Class Medical Certificate
- Minimum 2,000 hours as fixed wing pilot-in-command
- Minimum 500 hours multi-engine turbine airplane
- PIC CAMTS requirement compliance
- Must meet CAAMS (Commission on Accreditation of Air Medical Services) Accreditation Standards for pilots
- Weight restriction: 235 lbs or less
- Must reside within 1-hour or less commute of the base
- Pass pre-placement physical exam including functional capacity exam (ability to lift 100 pounds)
- Pass drug screening and background check
- Ability to communicate verbally, effectively and clearly in person and by radio
- Interview and acceptance by customer/PHI management
