About This Role
Microflite Aviation is recruiting experienced fixed-wing pilots for their Linescan department to support critical fire management and surveillance operations across Australia. Positions are available on both full-time and contract bases from Moorabbin Airport in Victoria, with deployment flexibility during the fire season. The role involves safe aircraft operation, airwork coordination, and collaboration with ISR departments on vital public service missions.
Requirements
- CASA Commercial Pilot Licence (A)
- Command Instrument Rating – 2D & 3D (SE or ME)
- Minimum 3 renewals
- CASA Class 1 Aviation Medical
- Current ASIC
- Minimum 2000 hours total flight time
- 150 hours Night flying
- 200 hours planned IFR
- Pilatus PC12 Flight Review/Endorsement (highly desirable)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to work shift-based rosters including early mornings/late nights
- High attention to detail and practical, hands-on approach
- Strong commitment to safety and quality
- Able to travel and work away from home at short notice
- Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
- Availability September through March/April (for contractors)
