About This Role
First Officer role at JSX (operated by Delux Public Charter, LLC), a US Part 135 semi-private/public-charter carrier based in Burbank, CA, with additional bases in Oakland CA, Las Vegas NV, and Santa Ana CA. Operate the aircraft as second-in-command in full compliance with FAA regulations and JSX SOPs, serving as the secondary voice to the Captain. Typical schedules average 3-5 legs per day over 14-16 days per month. Path to Captain after accumulating 1,000 hours in the right seat.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Pre-flight: review flight details in Traxxall (maintenance status, NOTAMs, fuel loads, weather, routing), collaborate with the Captain on departure/arrival/diversion strategies, perform required pre-flight checks and flows. In-flight: operate the aircraft in full compliance with FAA regulations and JSX SOPs, maintain communication with Mission Control (Dispatch), Ground Operations, ATC, and the Flight Attendant, and serve as secondary voice to the Captain. Post-flight: assist with quick-turn tasks and light cabin tidying, log maintenance in Traxxall. Participate in recurrent training and performance evaluations
- assist with baggage handling at smaller airports.
Requirements
- Required Experience: High School Diploma/GED
- Minimum 800 total flight hours
- Minimum 50 multi-engine hours
- Minimum 100 hours within the last 12 months
- No FAA violations/accidents/incidents/suspensions
- No significant training/check ride failures. Preferred Experience: 1000+ total time
- Turbine aircraft experience. Skill, Licenses, & Certifications: Valid FAA Pilot Certificate appropriate to the aircraft and operating position held
- Current and valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate
- Current and valid ATP or Commercial Multi-Engine Certificate
- Current and valid FCC Radio Operator's Permit
- Current and valid Driver's license and Passport.
