About This Role
Carson Air is seeking an IFR-experienced First Officer to operate Metroliner cargo aircraft based in Calgary, Alberta. The company has provided essential aviation services for over 30 years and specializes in cargo operations throughout Western Canada. Candidates require a Commercial Pilot License with multi-engine IFR rating, minimum 500 total flight hours, and 100 hours multi-engine time. This position offers an attractive work-life balance with a Monday-to-Friday rotation, typically flying 2-3 times per week with daily returns to base, starting salary of CAD $55,000 annually, plus comprehensive benefits including extended health/dental, RRSP matching, and per diems.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist Captain in performing duties in a safe, efficient and timely manner
- Operate Metroliner aircraft on cargo routes
- Comply with all prescribed regulations, customer requirements and company expectations
- Perform multi-engine and instrument weather operations
- Conduct crew operations in mountainous terrain
- Complete flight documentation and reports

Requirements
- Commercial Pilot License with multi-engine IFR rating
- Minimum 500 hours total flight time (preferred)
- Minimum 100 hours multi-engine flight time (preferred)
- IATRA exams written (preferred)
- No Transport Canada violations or suspensions
- Metroliner type rating or willingness to complete training
- Valid medical certificate
- Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail
- Computer skills and Internet familiarity
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Must sign Training Bond Agreement if no current SW4 type rating
