About This Role
Jett Aircraft is hiring First Officers to join their Learjet 45 fleet operations under FAR Part 135 standards. This entry-level captain-track position requires a minimum of 500 hours total flight time (1000 preferred) and offers home-based scheduling with approximately 5 overnights per month. First Officers will benefit from comprehensive training, competitive compensation, and a clear pathway to Captain advancement within the company's professional business aviation operation.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure aircraft operation within FAA regulations, Operations Specifications, and company policies
- Assist the captain as directed
- Observe and supervise aircraft refueling with attention to contamination and fire prevention
- Check fuel caps security
- Perform pre and post-flight walk-around inspections
- Accomplish radio communications and complete required paperwork
- Fly the aircraft at the direction of the captain
- Fill out all required logs in logbooks and BART CoPilot App for duty times
- Maintain cleanliness and neatness of aircraft interior
- Maintain proficiency and thorough knowledge of aircraft procedures and systems
- Maintain appropriate medical certificate and participate in training and proficiency checks
- Act as inflight and ground security coordinator when necessary
- Check passenger IDs against manifest for accuracy
- Assume captain responsibilities should captain become incapacitated
- Complete daily aircraft operation tasks including lifting/pushing/pulling up to 80 pounds

Requirements
- Minimum 500 hours total flight time (1000 hours preferred)
- Current US Passport
- FAA Medical Second Class (First Class preferred)
- Type rating in Learjet 45
- Must be trained per FAR Part 135 standards
